Our History

Started in 1982 by W. Lawrence Ruschmeyer (Larry)
Larry’s landscaping career began in Bedford, NY where he worked on landscape construction from Manhattan to Hartford. Larry’s background also includes Corporate Maintenance, having been the Supervisor of outdoor maintenance at Union Carbide’s Worldwide Headquarters in Danbury, CT, and also Property Manager for Stauffer Chemical’s World Headquarters in Westport, CT. Larry has also served as the Landscape Chairman for The Congregational Church of Brookfield CT.

New England Landscape & Management Inc. was founded in 1982 with six commercial maintenance accounts in the Wilton/Westport areas. As a native of Ridgefield, his dad was a builder/developer and realtor in Ridgefield, Larry brought the company to Ridgefield where it still remains today. As it grew, New England Landscape & Management, Inc. was able to add to its Commercial accounts, Estate Maintenance, Corporate accounts,Residential Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping, including Masonry work.

Over the last 35 years, New England Landscape & Management Inc. has been a fixture in the beautification of downtown Ridgefield, as well as providing the landscaping services on many new construction projects that have been added to the town. New England Landscape & Management Inc. has an ongoing working relationship with well known builders and developers in the greater Fairfield and Litchfield county area. The company also maintains strong relationships with large corporate companies in Fairfield County providing them with landscaping and corporate maintenance as needed.

New England Landscape & Management, Inc. has been a proud sponsor of Ridgefield events and teams, and is a member of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, CBIA, and NFIB.
